國定古蹟彰化孔子廟，為清朝時期創建四進三院的歷史建築，是彰化三百年來的見證，儒學思想與精神以及建築宏偉精美的結構語彙是智慧與文化的展現。

藝術家藉由轉化建築的視覺意象，以幾何線條重新組構，將儒學精神以連續性及束狀堆疊排列的形式，象徵文化精神傳承的累積和延續，不斷向上突破和創新，彰顯出新時代的底蘊和未來。並融入吳晟老師的《土》翻模之文字作品，以表達對於土地的守護與守候的精神，讓這塊土地積累的能量隨著光綻放於地面，在新的起點中再次出發啟程。

Changhua Confucius Temple, a nationally designated historical site, is a four-row compound with three courtyards built during the Qing Dynasty. It has stood witness to Changhua’s three hundred years of history, demonstrating the thinking and spirit of Confucianism. The temple’s magnificent and intricate architectural structures also embody the wisdom and cultural heritage of the region.

The artist reconstructs the visual imagery of the architecture using geometric lines, employing continuous and stacked bundle-shaped arrangements to symbolize the accumulation and continuation of Confucian culture and spirit. The artwork highlights the county’s commitment to pursuing breakthroughs and innovation as it moves forward into the new era. The artwork is further enhanced by the presence of several cast mold pieces, each displaying a Chinese character that collectively forms the poem “Earth” written by the renowned author Wu Sheng, who was born in Changhua. This design choice aims to express the spirit of guarding the land, allowing the accumulated vitality of the land to radiate its brilliance and embark on a new journey from the new starting point.

那是獻上怎樣的感激
如果冷冷漠漠的病蟲害
或是狂暴的風雨
蝕盡所有辛辛苦苦寫上去的足印
不悲、不怨，繼續走下去

不掛刀、不佩劍
也不談經論道說聖賢話
安安分分握鋤荷犁的行程
有一天，被迫停下來
也願躺成一大片
寬厚的土地
